Happy Wok Taiwan Delicacies, is home to all delighting Taiwanese & hospitality! Foods are made daily from the freshest ingredients to bring consumer's taste buds on a joy ride. Mdm Sandy (owner) of Happy Wok, a pretty Taiwnanese lady who decided to open this restaurant because she not used to eat Malaysian foods.
The restaurant is located at Taman Serdang Perdana (beside South City Plaza), Seri Kembangan. They practically served quite a variety of rice, noodles and steamboat. One of their most recommended food is the Squid Soup Rice. A flavourful and thick soup, which served with minced chicken, stewed egg, reserved vegetables. One taste and you would know the squid soup has been prepared skilfully. Simply awesome! =D
Besides, you could choose the Braised Beef Rice Set (RM14.90) or Fried Pork Ribs Rice Set (RM15.90) as your main course. Dessert (Red Bean with Barley Pearl Jelly), Fruits (Watermelon) and Drink (Black Tea) are included in any Rice/Noodles Set. The braised beef was juicy and chewable. The pork ribs was less oily with just the perfect flavours in it.
Oh ya~ Happy Wok always serve foods in healthier way compared to the others. They serve fruits (2 slices of watermelon) before your main course and dessert at last. The rice sets are normally served with stewed egg (half) and lots of fresh vegetables and fruits, such as long bean, broccoli, tomato and seasoned bean curd. They looks mouthwatering, right?
The next dish was Minced Chicken Noodles (RM7.50). Although a bit spicy, this savory noodles would sure pleasant your day. Don't be cheated by it's appearance, the chillies are all at the bottom part. LOL! =P
Happy Wok also serves variety of steamboat, such as original, vegetables, kimchi, seafood, vegetables, beef, mutton, healthy herbs, and Taiwanese hot & spicy steamboat. These steamboat ranging from RM13.90 to RM16.90. We have chosen the Healthy Herbs Steamboat (RM16.90) and Kimchi Steamboat (RM16.90). Both steamboat are guaranteed good for you health! Kimchi are nutritious and good for your stomach always (due to the fermentation process that favour the growth of beneficial bacteria). As a meaty lover, both these steamboat seem not really suit for me. However, if you love greens, mild favour & hot foods, you should pay a visit to them!
*1st and 2nd photo are the healthy herbs steamboat. 3rd is Kimchi~~~
As for snack, you might try out their Yan Soo Chicken (RM6.00)! It was fresh, tantalising and aromatic~ The meat was tender and without skin. Mdm Sandy said they had removed the skin during preparation. I guess it was the most voted snacks by our review team! =D
Apart of Yan Soo Chicken, we were served Jiufen Mixed Taro (RM5.90) and Red Bean & Barley Pearl Jelly (RM3.90). Now I only realised that I wasn't manage to tried the taro balls. Who was the one finished them? Stand out! =P
*Dear pearl lover, Happy Wok always serves you generous amount of pearl! LOL!
Our Drink includes Wintermelon Green Tea (Right), Juicy Peach Coocut Jelly Juice and Black Tea (Left)!
Love the black tea. Simply good with the sweet after-taste ~ Peach Coconut Jelly is Ka Yin favourite! Wintermelon Green Tea is recommended by the owner. It worth a try! =)
