I was craving....

for something sweets...

and i was thinking of some favourite childhood foods...

So, I decided to write this post... Hahahahaha! =P

I guess those who born after 1990, might not be loving following snack foods as I did last time. Hahaha! Sadly, some of those foods were discontinued. =(
1. Super Ring
Something sweet and cheesy... Never concern about the colour issue. Always finger licking good and that's 20 sen per small pack! I always curi-curi to buy when i was studying kindergarten and primary school... (I remembered that my mum give me RM2 per day... hahaha! Curry mee around rm1.20 only, and I can afford to buy 3, but I buy one only... you know why? Because I was so "kedekut" when I was a child~ =P) My Favourite Childhood Foods

2. Appolo Chocolate Waffer Biscuit
RM0.10 per pack, 4 stick per pack. Can share with friends somemore... hahaha! I am more "sporty" in buying this. About 2-3 pack per time! LOL! XD My Favourite Childhood Foods

3. Satay Jelly Fish
Something more expensive, eat it when family and relatives buy... (lol, kidding~) Love the biting texture, and fish taste. Won't too oily... My Favourite Childhood Foods

4. Haw Flakes
I don't really remembered the taste. It is a circle disc sweets, should taste little bit sour if not mistaken. My Favourite Childhood Foods

5. Homemade Ice Stick
Wow wow wow~ This was truly refreshing! It has variety of flavour, such as Milo, Sour Plum, Sirap, etc. I LOVE the Sour Plum the most~ hehehe~ My Favourite Childhood Foods

6. Choki
Sweet chocolate stick, we all like to bite it with the plastic, right? Hahaha! It is not hygienic for adult... Children, no problem, go for it! lol~ My Favourite Childhood Foods

Something that you wont bite and swallow immediately. You will definitely let it hang over mouth there (in, out, in.......) for some time~ My Favourite Childhood Foods

Puchong Yong Tau Fu in Selangor

It was my first time ate Yong Tau Fu & Wrapped Chicken when I was studying first year in UPM. Never try of this in anywhere of Kedah or Melaka.

Well, after some years "soaking' here for my study, I used to explore Yong Tau Fu around Serdang! Haha! There are some recommendations you should try around Serdang. You may try:
1. "姐妹" (sister), some of my friends very like their wrapped chicken.
2. "梁亚". Got 3 restaurants with same name opposite Serdang KTM there. my virgin of Yong Tau Fu was given one of them. Btw, I love the "豆腐羹", which located nearest to Heritage there.

Apart of those restaurant, you should try Puchong Yong Tau Fu at Serdang. Don't confuse with the name. It is named Puchong YTF, simply due to the origin of founder from Puchong. Btw, his is elder brother of the popular Puchong YTF at Puchong there...
Puchong Yong Tau Fu at Seri Kembangan

What make Puchong Yong Tau Fu worth a try? For me, that's their soup! I love their soup as they do put a lots of leaf vegetables (I think it is called sweet leaf - sayur Manis)! It came in a big red bowl with our chosen ingredients. Chilies and cucumbers always not my choice... =P

For fried stuffs, I like the stuffed brinjal (eggplant) and foo chuk (stuffed soy bean paste sheets)! hehe~ The eggplant was soft, but little bit oily... The foo chuk was crispy enough! Yum yum... =D

Apart of YTF, you can have other dishes such as Special Soup Steamed Chicken, Rendang Chicken, Wrapped Chicken and Curry Chicken (Pic from left to right). Among these foods, I prefer Rendang Chicken the most. It was flavorful and tender~ Hungry liao~

If you love Xao Xin Wine (绍兴酒), you may try the special soup steamed chicken~~

Wrapped chicken has a different taste. My team said, it was added with oyster sauce and garlic. May have a try there... =)

Jin Man Noodle House do provide Yu Pill (Dried Fish Maw Soup). It is an excellent stuff! Smoothly yet flavourful! Hungry tim~~~
P/S: Fish maw is not fish intestines (wrong perception during my childhood. LOL!). The swim bladder, gas bladder, fish maw or air bladder is actually an internal gas-filled organ that contributes to the ability of a fish to control its buoyancy, and thus to stay at the current water depth without having to waste energy in swimming. - Wikipedia.

Apart of foods, they have a very friendly service! Overall, it was a quick and satisfying meal. I will pop by there again soon! haha! XD
