Jin Man Noodle House in Selangor

Any fish balls lover here? Frankly, I am not a fan of fish balls, but I will definitely recommend you to try fish balls at Jin Man Noodle House. It was really good for me, as they are clean, affordable (especially for students), big portion and yummy~ (平，靓，正~)
Jin Man Noodle House is actually a Chinese coffee shop specialises in fishball noodles. They sell fishballs, dry fish maw soup, fish cakes and variety of noodle soup. Apparently, they are very famous especially in Cheras area.

Undoubtedly Fried Fish Cake (one of the specialities), RM6.50 is one of their specialities, which served with chilli sauce and cucumber slices. It has a golden crispy texture outside with very bouncy inside. Each bite was springy and yummy! Guys, you won't felt oily with this~ =)
The fish balls (more than 25 years of experience) RM0.60 each, are made from local whitefin wofl-herring fish (Ikan Parang or 西刀鱼). It was springy and flavourful. Thumbs up! =)

You may order the fish balls with noodles, RM5.50 (big) and RM5.00 (small) respectively.Variety of noodle choices are available, including wantan mee, glass noodles (tang hoon), yellow noodles, hor fun, etc. It can be soup or dry base(干捞), depending on personal preference. Each bowl are served with 5 fish balls (that's a lot for me). Btw, I have chosen Hor Fun! =D
Jin Man Noodle House do provide Yu Pill (Dried Fish Maw Soup). It is an excellent stuff! Smoothly yet flavourful! Hungry tim~~~
P/S: Fish maw is not fish intestines (wrong perception during my childhood. LOL!). The swim bladder, gas bladder, fish maw or air bladder is actually an internal gas-filled organ that contributes to the ability of a fish to control its buoyancy, and thus to stay at the current water depth without having to waste energy in swimming. - Wikipedia.
Apart of foods, they have a very friendly service! Overall, it was a quick and satisfying meal. I will pop by there again soon! haha! XD

Station One Leisure Cafe in Equine, Selangor

Station One Leisure Café, the pioneer of chain leisure café in Malaysia have opened more than 50 outlets nationwide within 8 years! With the slogan of "The world will be better if friends are spending time together sharing life. Real Life.", Station One Leisure Cafe has grown in stature from strength to strength.
We were heading over to Station One at Equine last two weeks. For me, it is definitely a place for leisure and relaxation during friends gathering. Foods, Music, and Friends are their believes.
We started off with the Yestea, an extraordinary Jasmine Tea 特级茉莉花茶 that have slight hint of sweetness and fragrant tea. It is one of the 10 strengths & attributes at Station One. Should try this if you never been Station One.
Well, my most favourite dishes was the Special Chicken Chop Rice. The egg was fragrant and won't oily, while the chicken chop was crispy good with the sauce. Can't really describe the special taste in details but it was good for me... =D
The Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken Chop which made of ginger rice, fried chicken chop, sambal chilli with anchovies, halved boiled egg, sliced cucumber and sliced tomato. It was just alike a normal nasi lemak, however, the rice was a little bit over ginger taste to my liking.
Apart of these rices, you can choose Sweet and Sour Fish Rice Set, one of the Super Value Lunch Sets (LEFT). These sets are specially prepared for office workers during lunch time, with affordable price RM9.90 per set. That's cheap price for cafe, right?

Rice wasn't you choice? Then Seafood Mushroom Noodles (RIGHT) may be one of your choices at Station One Leisure Cafe. The taste was just normal, but the ingredients were quite a lots for me.
If these foods not suit your palate, you may go for other fusion or western foods. We have tried some of them, including Chicken Chop (LEFT), Lamb Chop (MIDDLE) and Chicken Salad (RIGHT).

#Chicken Chop and Lamb Chop are served with salad, corn, fried potato, sliced cucumber, sliced tomato. The sauce was ok.
#Lamb Chop are one of the champion food, awarded by the some authority, if not mistaken. However, I am not a fan of this, don't really know how to appreciate it. =(
#Chicken Salad, is the platter and bite that good to eat with the cheesy sauce. Yummy~ Sweet and sour combination makes it really good! Hehehe...
Station One has Seafood Platters as well. It is made of fried sotong, octopus, foo chok and etc. May order this when you have a lot of friends gathering there~
I would recommend Station One if you wish to have friends gathering at somewhere to "sembang kuat"! Hahahahaha~

Shabu-Shabu House in Selangor

After some food reviews around Serdang, it's is STEAMBOAT turn now! We, in a team of 9 were hunting foods at Shabu-Shabu House at Pusat Perdagangan Seri Kembangan (Sri Penang), Selangor!!! (Raining didn't stop us from the bloggers gathering) Yeah~~~

BTW, I realized that many customers were glaring and staring on us when they see we taking out camera and shooting on foods. (even after some blogging reviews at Serdang).
Shabu-Shabu House is modern, clean and comfortable place to bring your friends and family to enjoy gathering and chatting. With the air conditioning system, it makes steamboat dinner a rather enjoyable affair.
For RM29.00 nett per adult, you can have variety of ingredients to swish in the hot pot. You will need to order pork, lamb and venison from the person in charge. Others ingredients such as clams, cuttle fish, squid, scallop, meat ball, mushrooms, corn, tomatoes, vegetables, noodles and etc can be taken from the rotating conveyor.
Three choices of soup base which is light broth, tom yam and milk base are available. We have our own favourite of soup choices there, majority love tom yam and light broth.

For me, fresh ingredients and tasty soups are very important for steamboat buffet. I have been going Shabu-Shabu House, and it was good! I love the cheesy taufu the most. Here's are some of the photos: More photos at W.S.W.H Photography and Joo Kim.

Among all, I enjoyed this clam with Tom Yam Soup the most. Many of this was huge and fresh. Yet, we were discussing the benefits of clam toward guy~ LOL!!!

Well, clams are surprisingly high in iron. They are rich in minerals (phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese and selenium), Omega 3 Fatty Acids (heart healthy fats), etc.

Fried foods will be delivered by waiter (not on conveyor). They have fried wantan, mantou, sesame glutinous rice balls, fried roll (purple colour), etc. The fried roll was very crispy, nice (sweet potatoes maybe?).
As for the dipping sauce, they have about 10 options. Among all the condiments, I enjoyed the cheesy sauce the most. yummmy~ (Btw, it seems not really worth if eating cheese there, right? =P)
Met with 周思潔 there. It was so sudden! (BTW, all leng lui there~) XD I consider Shabu-Shabu House is a place worth visiting, especially for gathering with friends over a relaxing meal. =)
