Shabu-Shabu House in Selangor

After some food reviews around Serdang, it's is STEAMBOAT turn now! We, in a team of 9 were hunting foods at Shabu-Shabu House at Pusat Perdagangan Seri Kembangan (Sri Penang), Selangor!!! (Raining didn't stop us from the bloggers gathering) Yeah~~~

BTW, I realized that many customers were glaring and staring on us when they see we taking out camera and shooting on foods. (even after some blogging reviews at Serdang).
Shabu-Shabu House is modern, clean and comfortable place to bring your friends and family to enjoy gathering and chatting. With the air conditioning system, it makes steamboat dinner a rather enjoyable affair.
For RM29.00 nett per adult, you can have variety of ingredients to swish in the hot pot. You will need to order pork, lamb and venison from the person in charge. Others ingredients such as clams, cuttle fish, squid, scallop, meat ball, mushrooms, corn, tomatoes, vegetables, noodles and etc can be taken from the rotating conveyor.
Three choices of soup base which is light broth, tom yam and milk base are available. We have our own favourite of soup choices there, majority love tom yam and light broth.

For me, fresh ingredients and tasty soups are very important for steamboat buffet. I have been going Shabu-Shabu House, and it was good! I love the cheesy taufu the most. Here's are some of the photos: More photos at W.S.W.H Photography and Joo Kim.

Among all, I enjoyed this clam with Tom Yam Soup the most. Many of this was huge and fresh. Yet, we were discussing the benefits of clam toward guy~ LOL!!!

Well, clams are surprisingly high in iron. They are rich in minerals (phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese and selenium), Omega 3 Fatty Acids (heart healthy fats), etc.

Fried foods will be delivered by waiter (not on conveyor). They have fried wantan, mantou, sesame glutinous rice balls, fried roll (purple colour), etc. The fried roll was very crispy, nice (sweet potatoes maybe?).
As for the dipping sauce, they have about 10 options. Among all the condiments, I enjoyed the cheesy sauce the most. yummmy~ (Btw, it seems not really worth if eating cheese there, right? =P)
Met with 周思潔 there. It was so sudden! (BTW, all leng lui there~) XD I consider Shabu-Shabu House is a place worth visiting, especially for gathering with friends over a relaxing meal. =)

one O one Hot Pot Steamboat Buffet Foods Melaka

Just a couple minutes finished the O Chien, Eric was waiting us outside Steven's house. (Oh no~ We are still full, Haha!) The gathering dinner was at one O one Hot Pot Melaka - Steamboat Buffet, the restaurant name is interesting, right? Well, this is my first time having steamboat buffet at Malacca. Actually I love steamboat, in fact that we can all sit, share the foods and chat together, while waiting for our foods in the soups.

From below photo, you can see that it is full with people. It is a little bit hot, but the air ventilation is good enough. The space and ambiance are considered average(normal) too. If you don't mind that, you may try on this restaurant. The steamboat ingredients are well prepared and neatly presented at a room. Wide varieties of food are available such as vegetables (corn, wombok, lettuce), mushrooms (Enoki, Hon-shimeji), Seafood (crab, prawn, clams, squid, cuttle fish, bamboo clam), Yong Tau Foo pieces, slices of meat (pork, beef and chicken), desserts (grape tart, traditional cakes, jelly!), noodles, meatballs, eggs, sauces, chilies and others. =) Four type of Steamboat soup bases are prepared, which is clear, Tom Yam, Ma Lak(spicy) and herbal soups. Apart of that, the restaurant also provides grill or barbecue. However, you might need to queue for that. Special thanks to Steven and Eric because they barbecue, I eat. LOL. These are the foods that we (6 persons) took at first round (Someone still said: "Har, you all eat so less?!").. Is it really less for 6 persons? Haha! It has been years I didn't eat this kind of JELLY product! Woohoo~ So happy to see it there, although the texture are watery compared to my childhood memory. I personally felt that they should improve the grape tart cream and texture. (maybe they should not put it over a humid place, which cause the tart pastry tasted a little bit moist.) The other foods were fresh and good. Beside that, one O one Hot Pot also provide free flow of ice cream with common flavour like vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. Aiya, forget to capture those ice-cream pictures due to too "concentrate" in clearing up the foods.
